Super x Winter 2010 Release

I heard today that top meteorologists are predicting an above average snowfall for Toronto + surrounding area this coming winter.  This got me thinking about how meteorologists are able to predict such things, but more importantly, I began thinking about the insights meteorologists have, and how they translate these insights into wardrobe decisions every day? I concluded that meteorologists are always a step ahead, never caught in the sun without protection.  I recommend these!

Mr. Bathing Ape x United Arrows Footwear

Streetwear giant A Bathing Ape lays their classier side on the table with this Mr. Bathing Ape footwear line by United Arrows. They are releasing three models including a loafer, a wingtip shoe, and a wingtip boot. First 2 coming in a two tone colorway and the boot being solid. My personal fav is for sure the loafer, coming with a classic moustache logo on top of the foot. Unluckily for us North American's these fine shoes are only available in Hong Kong, so if your in that part of the world it would be in your best interest to pick up a pair or three. you can check out more pics after the jump.

I haven't posted in a while and I figured this is hella worth posting to celebrate my return.

Canadian lifestyle brand, Voleurz, has just released their newest full length action sports movie and the best part about it is it's free!! Thats right, no need to run to your local shop to pick up this flick. You get to see all the snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, and general shenanigans these guys have to offer right from the luxury of your bedroom, bathroom, city bus or wherever you can find the internet these days. It's not available for download yet, they are workin on it. But feel free to head over to the Voleurz site and peep it. You will not be disappointed.

Affinity Cycles x Kenzo Minami "Digitizer"

While Affinity Cycles make beautiful bicycles, rarely does a project roll out with the beauty seen here.   Designed by Japanese artist Kenzo Minami, this bicycle is hands down, the most stunning and brilliant project we have seen in ages.  Minami had motion in mind, creating a night time in Tokyo x Tron look! So impressed.

Cinecycle curated this project, with the goal of producing an item of extreme beauty and quality, which explores the intersection of form, function and design. To that end, Cinecycle is proud to have brought together premiere artist Kenzo Minami and Affinity Cycles to create the "Digitizer" project.

Shoecare x citylife x Salvatore Ferragamo

Words of wisdom for those with an obsession for the beautiful pieces of art we wear on our feet every day of our lives. Amen.

1. A new pair of shoes should never be worn for many consecutive hours. Once your feet are completely accustomed to the shoes, you can begin to wear them all day.
2. Never wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row. Let them rest for at least a day before wearing them again.
3. Always use a shoehorn when putting on your shoes.
4. Before removing a lace-up shoe, loosen the laces completely so the shoe slips off more easily.
5. Once you have taken off your shoes, insert the made-to-measure shoetrees.
6. Shoetrees should also be used when shoes are wet from rain or snow. In this case, the shoes should not be rested on the soles but on their sides, and left to dry for an entire day.
7. Each time you wear a pair of shoes they should be cleaned and polished, even when they still look shiny.
8. Should you not wear your shoes for some time, coat them with a thin layer of polish, put them in the cloth sack provided, and keep them soles down in a box.

Update x Eric City

Whats shaking my lovely people?? I thought that an update was long overdue and since having three or four scotches and a bunch of heineken's while handing out the halloween candy, i've become quite vocal in my opinions.

I'd first like to apologize for the lack of content on citylife for the past six months. I have been very busy working out of province and have had little, or no time, as well as the shittiest internet connection I have ever experienced, to update my blog.  Now! At this moment, I am back in Toronto and with my networking talents, I have secured citylife correspondents in Vancouver, Whistler, Melbourne, LA, and Christchurch.  This is a massive accomplishment for citylife magazine and we are very proud to be introducing new concepts and a new design in the next couple of months.

I would also like to thank everyone for all of your support and am encouraging all of you to help us promote citylife around the world. Facebook is a beautiful thing and the "like" button is my best friend at the moment. Support us in any way you can.

I would also like to announce that I am currently embarking on a fashion consulting venture based in Toronto, Canada. More news to come in the near future. I love all of you and hope that your clothes are always fresh and your sneakers are always clean!
