F as in Frank x Warehouse Sneak Peek

One experience that inspired me to create citylife lies in my time at F as in Frank.  One of the greatest shops to ever appear in Whistler, F as in Frank was my second home, a place where the Electro was banging, fluorescent shapes were popping out at all angles + the wall of sunnies was overwhelming to say the least.  This was the place to be at the inaugural Pemberton Festival, featuring a collection that made you feel like it was created for that moment in particular.  The magic that happens behind the scenes has always been a mystery, a puzzle of great magnitude! Super x Winter 2010 Release

I heard today that top meteorologists are predicting an above average snowfall for Toronto + surrounding area this coming winter.  This got me thinking about how meteorologists are able to predict such things, but more importantly, I began thinking about the insights meteorologists have, and how they translate these insights into wardrobe decisions every day? I concluded that meteorologists are always a step ahead, never caught in the sun without protection.  I recommend these!

Shoecare x citylife x Salvatore Ferragamo

Words of wisdom for those with an obsession for the beautiful pieces of art we wear on our feet every day of our lives. Amen.

1. A new pair of shoes should never be worn for many consecutive hours. Once your feet are completely accustomed to the shoes, you can begin to wear them all day.
2. Never wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row. Let them rest for at least a day before wearing them again.
3. Always use a shoehorn when putting on your shoes.
4. Before removing a lace-up shoe, loosen the laces completely so the shoe slips off more easily.
5. Once you have taken off your shoes, insert the made-to-measure shoetrees.
6. Shoetrees should also be used when shoes are wet from rain or snow. In this case, the shoes should not be rested on the soles but on their sides, and left to dry for an entire day.
7. Each time you wear a pair of shoes they should be cleaned and polished, even when they still look shiny.
8. Should you not wear your shoes for some time, coat them with a thin layer of polish, put them in the cloth sack provided, and keep them soles down in a box.
