Whats shaking my lovely people?? I thought that an update was long overdue and since having three or four scotches and a bunch of heineken's while handing out the halloween candy, i've become quite vocal in my opinions.
I'd first like to apologize for the lack of content on citylife for the past six months. I have been very busy working out of province and have had little, or no time, as well as the shittiest internet connection I have ever experienced, to update my blog. Now! At this moment, I am back in Toronto and with my networking talents, I have secured citylife correspondents in Vancouver, Whistler, Melbourne, LA, and Christchurch. This is a massive accomplishment for citylife magazine and we are very proud to be introducing new concepts and a new design in the next couple of months.
I would also like to thank everyone for all of your support and am encouraging all of you to help us promote citylife around the world. Facebook is a beautiful thing and the "like" button is my best friend at the moment. Support us in any way you can.
I would also like to announce that I am currently embarking on a fashion consulting venture based in Toronto, Canada. More news to come in the near future. I love all of you and hope that your clothes are always fresh and your sneakers are always clean!

WEEKLEE x cityLife x 4Q April
Posted by Eric City at 11:10:00 PM Labels: culture, fashion, news, weeklee 0 commentsThe end of April marks our first full month in existence and we hope that you've enjoyed reading. Any suggestions can now be sent to NASA, henceforth transporting them electronically to Space.
After a massive Q3 of April passed us by, the only thing left was to have that family dinner, sharpen our pencils and get ready for the last week of the month. Yah, I don't really understand what that means either so we'll get into the happenings of the past week. Nixon, involved heavily with the Gumball 3000 race, released a preview of its limited edition rubber Player. We showed you the Red Bull Manny Mania trailer, a contest held in NYC, bringing the best technical skateboarders the world has ever seen. Grenade Games 6 wrapped up in Whistler with this recap video, showcasing the mayhem (or a regular old party type night in Whis). We brought your the Oak x Horace t, with it's jean sag protector, Sneaker Freaker's collaboration shoe, teaming up with Asics, and my absolute favorite release this week with the Hellz Bellz Kate Moss girl t shirts. We witnessed graffiti vending machines, Vans Vault boat shoes, and a pair of custom "Just Did It" Tiger Woods Supra Skytops, by YaoKustoms. In preparation for summer, REEF released it's "Cancer to Capricorn" trailer and Sebago x David Z dockside exclusives became available online. Stussy came through with some limited 30th anniversary ts and my awesome gal-pal Reannan was featured on the dailydose. Fresh.
Keep it real!

Art School
Posted by Eric City at 11:12:00 AM Labels: news, vcad 0 commentsStarting this July, I will be going back to art school. I have spent the last year in Toronto and its been productive, but I realized that my dreams of a degree from U of T weren't going to pan out, simply due to time constraints and the lack of interest in being broke as f*** for five years. I also needed to get back to the mountains and Vancouver seemed like an ideal candidate city.
I am studying graphic design to which my ultimate goal is to design for a brand/label in Vancouver. To pay my way through, while still feeding my clothing and sneaker fetish, I need your help. I don't know how you can help yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I know.
Check back on the daily for news on the freshest gear and the dopest sales across the world.

The night is young

Culture, fashion and art are a dish best served with a plate of spaghetti. Ok, maybe not but I thought that if you were daydreaming one day, sitting across from a beautiful girl at a Starbucks in Hollywood, and she slapped you in the face because of the lack of attention given, how absolutely perfect it would be to pass her a fork, let her twist some spaghetti onto it and talk about the latest issue of Vogue.
After careful consideration, I have decided that I would like to share with you my taste for the beautiful things in life. You might consider different things to be wonderful, special, but I would love to add my tastes into the mix. (I have spent the last 6 years of my life cooking in the hospitality industry whilst traveling and many a taste has been added to the lives of the people around me)
Please consider this post the introduction to a great work of art to which a bookmark is due.
Cheers.
