This is said to be revolutionary for the shoe business. I hope that more companies jump on such a good idea to help the environment, and keep our planet healthy.

Growing Jewelry by Hafsteinn Juliusson

Curb global warming.

"Designer Hafsteinn Juliusson has developed a series of “Growing Jewelry” that represent a fusion of both glamour and gardening.  These rings, available in one, two and four finger options, feature a living element of grass, moss and other foliage.  While you can buy into the symbolism at your own accord, we love Juliusson’s Growing Jewelry simply because they look quite brilliant.  They’re a bit pricey, but oh-so-unique in the world of modern jewelry. [from $212 @ hafsteinn juliusson]"

Editor's note: This is almost ridiculous, but I love the environment.

Project Green G-Shock

G-SHOCK recently hit the streets with a group of NYC designers to learn how the great outdoors inspires their collection and how G-SHOCK's durability and style perfectly compliment them.  The Products of the Environment, Go Green Project brings us three beautifully designed releases. Check out the interview with owner/founder of Loomsdate, commending the efforts.
Organic apparel line Loomstate helps create eco-awareness with every green garment they sell. Hahn commends G-Shock on the go! Project series for taking a responsible step towards creating a sustainable, functional, and great looking product

The awarness and conciousness of the issues we face today, grows stronger with projects like this and its beautiful to see it all happening in fashion and popular culture.  Another company doing wonders in this area are my good bros over at Preparing The Trail, whom also deserve mad respect for their efforts.
